About the Team

  Michael W. Thomas has been creating striking black & white and color imagery for more than four decades, bringing a thoughtful and experienced eye to every frame. A proud veteran of the 173rd Airborne Brigade who served in Vietnam, Michael returned home with a deep appreciation for the importance of preserving moments—an understanding that continues to shape his work today.

His photographic journey began in New York City and evolved after relocating to the scenic landscapes of Northeastern Pennsylvania, where his passion for Fine Art and Landscape Photography truly flourished. In 2005, alongside his wife, Lori, he helped reimagine and relaunch ShadowCatcher Photography, blending artistry with storytelling to capture both the beauty and authenticity of life.

Known for his patience, perspective, and ability to find meaning in both grand vistas and quiet details, Michael’s work reflects a lifetime of experience behind the lens. His creative approach is grounded in observation, emotion, and a genuine connection to his subjects and surroundings.

Outside of photography, Michael brings the same energy and dedication to his many pursuits. He is an avid cyclist—earning the nickname “King of Retro Jerseys”—a speed skater, and a competitive USPSA & Steel Challenge shooter. Whether on the road, the range, or behind the camera, he approaches everything with passion, precision, and a love for the journey.

Creativity has always been at the heart of who Lori Prashker-Thomas is. From an early age, she was drawn to the arts—designing outfits for her dolls with scarves, styling their “looks,” and creating entire stories to bring them to life. That spark only grew stronger as she spent time alongside her mother, learning to sew and developing an appreciation for craftsmanship and design. That passion ultimately led her to attend the Fashion Institute of Technology in 

New York City.

After meeting  Michael, Lori picked up a camera—and everything clicked. What began as curiosity quickly became a calling. For more than 15 years, she has been capturing meaningful moments for families, friends, and clients, specializing in headshots, portrait photography, and event and wedding photography. Her work is rooted in connection, authenticity, and the belief that every moment has a story worth preserving.

Lori is also the Owner and Head Officiant of Ceremonies by Lori, where she brings her creativity and heart into crafting personalized, meaningful ceremonies for couples. In addition to her creative work, she has built a professional career spanning more than 20 years as a paralegal, legal secretary, and administrative assistant—bringing organization, professionalism, and attention to detail into everything she does.

She also serves as the Director of her nonprofit, I Picture Hope, furthering her commitment to using photography and storytelling as a source of support, connection, and impact.

Beyond her businesses, Lori is an award-winning author, speaker, and passionate advocate for Jewish women facing crisis pregnancies. She also proudly serves on the board of the NEPA Pride Project, continuing her commitment to community, support, and meaningful impact.
